Class 1 HGV Driver

Location: Chesterfield, S40–S45 area, Derbyshire
Pay Rate: £17.50–£20.00 per hour (dependent on experience + overtime/night/weekend premium)
Weekly Hours: Typically 45–55 hrs, with overtime options available

• Work with modern trucks (under 5 years, usually refrigerated or standard trailers), free onsite parking, and depot-drop structured routes

Your Role:

• Operate Class 1 HGVs for trunking logistics around the UK—often to RDCs or manufacturing sites

• Mostly depot-to-depot deliveries; minimal manual loading/unloading

• Return to base frequently (typical rota: 4–5 nights away per week max)

Requirements:

• Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence with digital tachograph card

• Valid CPC qualification and up‑to‑date Driver CPC training

• Minimum 18 months experience driving Class 1 vehicles

• Maximum 6 penalty points, no major licence endorsements

• Understanding of Working Time Directive, tachograph rules, and ability to liaise with transport team
